Mr 33cm is the nickname given to a character seen at the end of the Final Fantasy XIII trailer. He has blond hair, and is seen wearing a black bandana. In the trailer he rides in guns a-blazing to rescue the main character Lightning. “Mr 33cm” refers to the size of his boots.
Lightning is codename of the heroine of Final Fintasy XIII. Her weapon is a blade that can transform into a gun.
No official release date has been announced for Final Fantasy XIII yet. Square Enix, the makers of the Final Fantasy series, issued this statement on their website:
Although information regarding the release date of FINAL FANTASY XIII has been reported by certain videogame websites, Square Enix itself has yet to make an official statement on this topic. Any reports of a confirmed release date are erroneous and should be disregarded.
Square Enix will make an official announcement in the future concerning the release date when it has been determined.
Square Enix announced the development of the Fabula Nova Crystallis compilation at the 2006 E3 Media and Business Summit. Fabula Nova Crystallis will be comprised of 3 games: Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII for the PS3; and Final Fantasy Agito XIII for mobile phones.
The gameplay of each title takes place in separate worlds, united by the commun theme of cristals – Fabula Nova Crystallis is latin for “New Tale of the Crystal”.
A possible 4th title may be added to the compilation , Final Fantasy Haeresis XIII was trademarked in 2006 and a logo has been designed for it.
